Do what makes you happy now - Building a New Business

When you start building a business you have to decide what makes you happy and do it now.  Let me explain....

When you start building a business you are so focused the end goal, the dream you have that you forget what the little things that make you happy are.  We as people have that idea that success equals happiness, and success usually has something to do with money.  The problem is that it then becomes very stressful as you don't ever feel satisfied with yourself as we know it takes time, effort and consistency to grow a business.

Here is a little personal story... as you may know I am a single mum of 4 and I am in the beginnings of a new business.  I am obviously a very busy mummy and I also have big dreams and goals.  Recently things got on top of me and stress and anxiety kicked in.  Today I realised that its so important to be happy everyday, what are the little things that are successful to you, celebrate that, the money will follow.

So for me my daily successes are ....

  • to relax at some point in the day, whether its when Isaac naps or evening
  • that I play with the Children as I know that I don't do this enough
  • that I spend time with people I love, I do this nearly everyday and it really makes a difference
  • that I am organised and happy in my environment, if my house is a mess my head is
  • that I have achieved todays tasks for my business
These points will be important to me when I have achieved my goals so why not start now!  What are your daily successes and what makes you happy?

Are You Struggling to Stay Consistent? Here are my 5 Tips to help,

Everyone struggles with being Consistent at some things, we are only human.  But when you are consistent the results are Amazing.

From my experience when I have been consistent in my business, my business grew which gave me even more motivation, here are my tips for anyone that is struggling to stay consistent.

Tip 1 - Remember Your Why- This is so important because you have to remind yourself why you are spending time on your business, what is it for ? Who is it for? You need to have a clear vision, whats the result and who are you helping.  I would write in down somewhere so you see it everyday.

Tip 2-  Concentrate on one thing at a time, when you are starting in a business it can be very overwhelming and you feel you have to do everything immediately.  Think about what is the most important daily step for your business and make sure you do this daily until it becomes a habit. Then start to make another task consistent.  Obviously there are going to be a few things that have to be done everyday. just concentrate on one task at a time.

Tip 3- Stop any Distractions- To work on one thing at a time you have to focus on that task only. So only have the tabs up you need, and if you are not working on facebook or other social media, turn them off.  They are so distracting to anyone and you probably end up reading things that are not helping you.

Tip 4-  Ignore Negative Self Talk or Procrastination - You have to be strong enough to ignore the ' I will do it later' or the ' I don't feel like it' this won't get your business anywhere.  Start thinking about the positive reasons for working your Business and revert back to your why.  Your mind will become stronger the more motivated you become.

Tip 5  - Schedule your Action Steps into your day, even break it up throughout the day.  Putting into your day is better than trying to fit it in when you are very busy, it is more than likely it wouldn't get done.  My advice for all the mums is to do the longest tasks as soon as you can in the day, even before the Children wake up.

I hope that my tips help you be more consistent in your business.  If they do please leave a comment and don't forget to come over to my facebook page HERE  for more advice on how to be a happy mumpreneur,

Back to Business :)

Hey Everyone,

Its been a while since I last posted on my blog, my life has been hectic to say the least.  Last time I posted I was about to have my forth baby, he is now 8 months old little Isaac who is Amazing.

To briefly fill you in, I took a step back from working due to personally reasons at home which made working on top of looking after 4 children impossible.  It was hard for me to take a step back as i'm so passionate about being a mumpreneur and helping other mums do the same.

Here I am again, now a single mum of 4 working my business everyday.  I'm not going to lie and say its easy for me at the moment as I have a lot of sorting to do, like moving house.  But I know that Mums working from home around their children is the way forward and I want to show mums that if I can do it so can they.

So what will you find on this blog?  I titled it 'Love Being a Mumpreneur' as I wanted to share my life as I don't sit behind the laptop all day, my life is madness when I have all 4 as you can imagine.

I will share my life with the Children, what we get up to and how I keep them entertained especially when I work.  I will share organisation tips as lets face it mums have loads to do without working on top of it.  I love positive thinking and how to better your life. so I will enjoy writing posts about that.

As I am a Younique Makeup Presenter I will share products reviews and videos on what they look like.

I'm sure I will post other topics but I think you get the jist :)

Working my Younique Business around 3 Small Children and a Pregnancy

Hey Ladies,

When I joined Younique as a founding UK Presenter I was 7 months Pregnant.  I did have to make a decision prior to whether I could handle a business as well as my 3 Children aged 5,3 and almost 2 at the time plus a Pregnancy, never mind 4 Children under 6.

I made the decision that I could do it, if other Younique Presenter were doing it why couldn't I,  I did have experience of working online and in Direct Sales so I knew that you decided your hours and how much time you will put into your business.

I am a girl with vision for my future, I didn't used to but when you have financial problems, or other hard times in your life something inside your mind switches to thinking in a different way.  For me instead of struggling each month to even pay bills I wanted to not worry about money so working around my Children was the way to do it.

So currently 2 days before my due date and I am writing this blog post which is in fact part of my business so I am still working.  But its fun and doesn't feel like work.  I am also still supporting my team, making sure they are happy and know what there next steps are.  I am still marketing my business on social media and helping customers.  With Online Marketing you can do things when you can, its not got to be done straight away.  This is the positives of working online and why so many mums are turning to online businesses.

I work whilst my son naps and when the Children have gone to bed.  Which is what I used to do as a Mummy Blogger so quite normal for me.

My advice for any mums that have decided to work from home via the internet is to create a daily plan and stick to it.  Planning is key!

I hope you enjoyed todays Blog Post.  If you want to find out more about being a Younique Presenter then take a look at my website HERE or email me on workfromhomemumuk@outlook.com.

Turn Your New Years Goals into Results

Hey Ladies,

I wanted to share this post with you as I find it so important, I want you to turn your New Years Goals into results!!

We start the year off with New Years Goals and a few days or months later the motivation has disappeared.  Has this happened to you? This is so common but there is a pattern, there is a reason that people are loosing their motivation and desire for that end result.

Think back to when you set your goal, what you were thinking when you set that goal?   You wanted to change something in your life, feel a new you.   Are you a person that sets a goal which is actually a hope, a wish for the year or are you a person who is going to succeed to make that change your reality.

To see results you need to see progress on your journey, this makes you feel motivated each day.

Without progress we aren't moving forward.

To Get the Results You Want

1.  So first things first to succeed you need .... a Vision!!!

You need to think about what you want to create not what you want to stop or do.  You want something that pulls you to work at the goal not that you have to push yourself to do.  You need something that you desire, something that excites you and that you can't stop thinking about.

For Example...  You want to loose weight.  So now you need to add the vision.  You want to feel amazing, feel happy when you look in the mirror.  You want to have gained more confidence in yourself so you step outside of your comfort zone to achieve other dreams.  As you can see I have added a vision, more how I will feel, what other changes will happen if I loose weight, loosing weight on its own isn't enough.

When you have strong enough reasons to succeed the goal becomes much more emotionally important to you.  Everyone goes through hard times and you need something to push you to keep going instead of just giving up.   When you keep imagining what you want, you think about it all time as you know a reason why its so important to happen in your life.

For example... whose lives will it change if you succeed with your goal?

2. You need to set high standards for yourself

Before you get your Goal,  you have to higher your standards first as that will get you acting in the way you wish to continue even when you have reached your goal.  You have to act consistently with how you define yourself, how do you want to see yourself? What standards need to change to reach your goal?

You have to make the decision to make it a must not a should.  If you set your standards higher you find a way to accomplish your goal.   It may be hard to believe you will achieve at first but you have to change your mindset.  Unfortunately at a young age or because of what we are told we believe some things can't be achieved.  But you have to re-condition your mind to believe you can.

For example ....  When I started working online I had no confidence in myself, asked myself what I was doing but I knew that to achieve my goal, my dreams I had to change my mindset to believe I could achieve. To do this I had to step outside of my comfort zone of standards and raise them.  I made the decision that I didn't have to hide my life and struggles with friends as my story may change people lives in the future.  I felt so much better and felt I can achieve anything and no one will stop me.

3. You need to set Daily Actions which keeps the standards and your goals real

Success and failure are so similar, they are from all the little steps we take daily its not a overnight event.  If you are trying to loose weight you are not going to loose weight in a week, its about all the little things you do on a daily basis. To keep your relationship great, it takes all the little steps you do daily.  Since my grandparents were young my Grandad has always brought my Grandma a cup of tea in bed in the morning without fail.  Its now normal to him, it doesn't take effort and it makes my Grandma happy which makes my Grandad happy too.

Task to Help you....

1. Choose a goal you have set, which part of your life does it belong too, Health? Relationship? Financial? Career?  Write down what its currently like.
2. Write down your current Daily Actions for that area of your life, if you are not sure ask someone who would know.
3. Write down what you want your result to look like, your vision and why you want the change.
4. What are the  Daily Actions that will get you there? Pick 2-3 daily to start with.

Hope this helps you Turn Your Goals into Reality

It is so important to decide on Your Why for your Business because you will go through lows and wonder what you are making the effort for, its the negative mindset.  So if we have a 'why' why you are doing the business, why you started and what changed you intend to make to your life and others around you, it give you the drive, motivation and passion to move forward.

Ask Yourself........

I am a Founding Younique Presenter for the UK

So Exciting ....... Younique has now launched in the United Kingdom :)

For a few weeks now I decided that I couldn't turn the opportunity down as its so successful in the United States.  Plus I love makeup, what girly Girl doesn't?

On October the first at 10am Younique opened its website up for UK recruits, I had butterflies, I just knew that so many UK girls would be signing up.  So as soon as I saw the UK button I filled the form as fast as I could with a 1 year old causing mischief.  As soon as I pressed the Submit button I was so excited to recieve an update telling me I was 47th UK Younique Presenter.

Younique Corprate had predicted that the first 999 spots would be taken up in under 24 hours.  They were infact taken up in 26 minutes!!

I am so excited about this opportunity as it is exactly what I have been looking for the last year.  I love working with Women, I love inspiring mums especially that they don't have to either struggle in a job they hate, or the fact they want to be a stay at home mum.  Also to inspire the stay at home mums that struggle financially that they don't have to struggle.

I have been in another network marketing company that trains you on all the aspects on being a great entrepreneur so I can take away what I have learned and teach my team how to succeed.

I will be receiving my Younique Presenters Kit in about 3-5 days time so watch out for that blog Post.

Check out my Video talking about Joining Younique officially .....

                                             See You Soon, Victoria x

My Mission in life..... is to Teach

Since becoming a mum 5 years ago,  a lot of things changed in my life including my dreams, my desires.  Except one thing, my mission to teach others.

Prior I wanted to teach Children in a Primary School, I even went to university for a year but realise it wasn't the path for me.

When I got pregnant with Annabelle my plan was to go on maternity leave then become a child care assessor and teach adults to become nursery nurses or classroom assistants.

When I had Annabelle that plan disappeared.

I then KNEW what I wanted...  I wanted to be a stay at home mum.   I didn't want someone else looking after my daughter whilst I was out at work.  I didn't want to be earning my money and paying childcare near enough the same.  What was the point.  My daughter was only young once and I was not going to let work stop that special time.

However as lovely as it is spending all day and night with your children it is also amazing to be bringing money into the household.

Every path I take takes me to one thing I love, teaching.  Whether its teaching children or adults.  This time my mission is to teach others that there is a better way of life.

I want to get my message to the people in the world that need to know that struggling each month to pay the bills shouldn't be their reality, that having to work and not spend time with their children does not have to be the only way.    I want to teach others that they can have an amazing life and a business they love, its not a dream it can be a reality.

My main mission comes from the heart, it is to show the mums out there that you can be a stay at home mum AND a work at home mum.

You do not have to choose work or stay at home, why not have both.  I know lots of mums that feel they have to work as its the only way to pay the bills, the mortgage but are sad and jealous that other mums can stay at home with their children.  Or stay at home mums that struggle to pay the bills, that don't have a lot of money to take their children to nice places, even playbarns.

Whatever circumstance is not ideal for most mums.   I will show mums and teach them how to have a business and life they love.  This is my mission.
