My Mission in life..... is to Teach

Since becoming a mum 5 years ago,  a lot of things changed in my life including my dreams, my desires.  Except one thing, my mission to teach others.

Prior I wanted to teach Children in a Primary School, I even went to university for a year but realise it wasn't the path for me.

When I got pregnant with Annabelle my plan was to go on maternity leave then become a child care assessor and teach adults to become nursery nurses or classroom assistants.

When I had Annabelle that plan disappeared.

I then KNEW what I wanted...  I wanted to be a stay at home mum.   I didn't want someone else looking after my daughter whilst I was out at work.  I didn't want to be earning my money and paying childcare near enough the same.  What was the point.  My daughter was only young once and I was not going to let work stop that special time.

However as lovely as it is spending all day and night with your children it is also amazing to be bringing money into the household.

Every path I take takes me to one thing I love, teaching.  Whether its teaching children or adults.  This time my mission is to teach others that there is a better way of life.

I want to get my message to the people in the world that need to know that struggling each month to pay the bills shouldn't be their reality, that having to work and not spend time with their children does not have to be the only way.    I want to teach others that they can have an amazing life and a business they love, its not a dream it can be a reality.

My main mission comes from the heart, it is to show the mums out there that you can be a stay at home mum AND a work at home mum.

You do not have to choose work or stay at home, why not have both.  I know lots of mums that feel they have to work as its the only way to pay the bills, the mortgage but are sad and jealous that other mums can stay at home with their children.  Or stay at home mums that struggle to pay the bills, that don't have a lot of money to take their children to nice places, even playbarns.

Whatever circumstance is not ideal for most mums.   I will show mums and teach them how to have a business and life they love.  This is my mission.

What have I learned being a Mumpreneur so far?

I have been a Mumpreneur for 14 Months now which has flown by!  I will tell you about what companies I have been part of and also what I have learned this last year and a bit from them.

What Companies have I been part of this last year?

14 Months ago I made the decision I wanted to start working online, as I loved blogging I wanted to earn an income through it.  I googled, looked for videos on you tube and came across a mum of twins from Australia who was working with a company called Empower Network.  I did some research and naive at the time thought I would easily make some money, it looked easy enough.  With this company you paid a monthly subscription for trainings, I didn't pay too much, I wasn't that stupid.  I have to admit I didn't learn much in that company, I had not a clue what I was doing, I needed support and easier training.

I came across a American Beauty Called Ashley who was an affiliate marketer just like I was trying to be however with a different company called  'The Internet Lifestyle Network'  the online training here teaches people with no experience how to be an entrepreneur.  Also how to market any business online.  Ashley was seeing success and seemed someone I would get on with.  This company is monthly subscription also.

I gained so much confidence as I completely stepped outside of my comfort zone with sharing my life on social media, creating videos to put on you tube plus being a team leader.  I also did this around 3 Young Children, I worked around them in the day plus all night, maybe staying up until 1.30 am,( because I wanted too).  I have to admit it was frustrating as I know how much I could give to the business, to our future but my Children were number 1 so had to find the right balance.

When I go Pregnant with Baby number 4, I had to re evaluate my business and my routine.  I decided that carrying on the ILN business was not possible with 4 young Children, even being pregnant with 3 Children.  Reasons being I had to sleep more, my health is so important.  I also realised how much my business took over my life, even time with the Children.  Thinking back I wanted time out, to be Victoria not Mummy.  With the business you can make a lot of money and I feel you need to be around all day/night and that just is not possible.  I felt that My other half Phil could solely run the business and I was to concentrate on the Children which mums know is a full time job in itself.

When I was about 18 weeks Pregnant past the yucky pregnancy stage Something was niggling me,  I missed running a business, feeling the excitement of making my own money again, most importantly having that Independence I love.  I remember sitting down thinking what I could do around 4 Children, still be a stay at home mum but not feel I had to be running a business all day and night.

Younique popped into my head, infact I had turned down an invite to find out more a few weeks prior but something had changed.  Ashley my ILN Sponsor was doing brilliantly in Younique and as the company is launching October 1st I thought I had enough time to plan my business and share the opportunity with UK Girls!

What have I learned?

I believe you learn something from every experience how small it may be.  So with the first Company I learned not to be so naive, one person's success doesn't mean I will be.  I have to admit I didn't learn anything from the training but its not to say another person didn't,  Part of the problem was I didn't have time to listen to audios. I needed to know how to market step by step.

With The Internet Lifestyle Network I feel I have learned so much, I have changed so much as a person and I know my confidence and pride in myself has risen.  I have gone from shy entrepreneur wannabee to an actual Entrepreneur running my own business from home.

I have learned to change my mindset completely around, this is not easy to do as we are brought up to think in a certain way.  I made the decision with myself I was going to be successful and we did well, being on the leaderboards for a while, getting recognised by the company owners for our hard work.

I have learned to build relationships with people from all over the world, mainly in America.  I chat to some lovely people regularly and have lots in common.  Before I worked online I wouldn't have dreamed of saying I have friends from all over the world.  Your outlook on the world really changes.

I have learned how to market which is crucial to any business, so for instance I know how I will market Younique as I already been trained in ILN.  Yes there are some things I will learn as I go along but I know a great amount already therefore I can help my team to market correctly.

Most importantly I have realised what my goals are, what I want to achieve, I have learned to dream big and know that I am capable.

How I became a Mumpreneur

I want to take you back previous to working online so you can get a better view of where I was to where I am now.

Before I had my Daughter Annabelle I was a Nursery Nurse in a lovely Private Nursery in Cheshire.  I had worked there for 3 years and did work my way up to a supervisor of their after School Club.  Back then I always felt I wanted to do something more challenging and started a Teaching Degree in the evenings, once a week.  My aim was to become a Primary School Teacher so I would earn a good wage for my family.

When I became a mummy to my first Child Annabelle, Phil and I decided that it was financially better for myself to be a stay at home mum as I would pay out in childcare fees what I had earned that month.  We relayed on Phil's wage and a top up of tax credits, which isn't a lot with 1 child.  When Annabelle was nearly 1 I started to work as a mother's help and as I only had 1 child my mum easily could look after her for the 5 hours each Monday.  If I didn't have my mums help I would have had to put Annabelle into childcare which I wouldn't have done as in my opinion the money would not have been worth it.  That job didn't work out, and thinking about it now, I just wanted to make my own money and have some me time as well as some independence.

A Year later I then had a 2 year old and approx a 6 month old and wanted some independence.. again, something also for me... again.  As much as I am grateful and was grateful to be a stay at home mum it could be lonely and you do miss doing something that satisfies you other than your Children.  This is when I started my mummy blog, I wasn't bringing money to the household but I was bringing free toys, baby food etc that I was reviewing.  It was exciting as my blog was like I was running a little business, creating content, interacting with other bloggers, viewers and also pr agencies.  I felt accountable.  I also found blogging by chance via facebook, I loved it and it really helped my anxiety I was prone too.

2 Years later when I had 3 children, a 4 year old, a 2 year old and a baby I felt like I didn't want to blog for free products anymore, I wanted to have the money to buy the products myself.  Also I felt I was really juggling the children and the blog and I didn't know what I was going to get out of it, I had lost my enthusiasm, I was quite unhappy.  It didn't help the fact that due to our finances, my other half swapping jobs as he had to, we were not getting along very well.  I am sure anyone worrying about their finances especially with young Children is finding their relationship tough.

I knew I loved blogging however I wanted to blog for money, I came across online marketing which was completely new to me,.  But I wanted independence, to bring money in, and be able to look after the children myself if the worst happened to our relationship.  It's quite hard to write private things such as the fact we nearly separated but I want you to see the whole picture.

Working online as a Mumpreneur really suited me, I could still be a stay at home mum, have something for me, bring money to the household.  It changed me as a person, my outlook on life changed 3 months later.  I will go into that on the next post.

Hope You Are Having a Great Day, Victoria x

Welcome to My Blog- A post introducing me :)

Hey my Name's Victoria and Welcome to my Blog!

I thought that it would be great for you to get to know about me and my life...

Bit of Background- So I am 28 years Old and Live in Cheshire, England, I have 3 young Children Annabelle, Callum and Joseph and expecting baby number 4 (another boy) in January with my other half of 10 years Phil.

When did I start Blogging?- I have been a parent blogger for 3 years now, I have a blog called 'Love Being a Mummy' which was 'Love being mummy to Two' previously.  When I had 3 children I thought, sounds a bit mean as I love the three- haha!

Why did you Start Blogging?- I decided to start blogging for a few reasons, to be my little project, to use my brain other than mummy stuff, even though I mostly wrote about the Children, to get products to review as we didn't have a lot of money.
-
Favourite Mummy Blogging Moments?- Myself and My little girl met Elmo, going to a next Event and a Startrite Event where Annabelle and Callum were catwalk models. We really did a lot of things that is not possible without having a blog.

What I have learned from my Parent Blog- I have definitely been grateful of certain opportunities like going to the Next Event, been given next vouchers to dress my children for the day, spoilt, as were the Children!  My blog gave me the confidence to start an online business and the fact I knew I wanted to blog as a business.

When did you start working online? I started my online business last July, I chose a affiliate marketing company that trains you how to be an entrepreneur, so you learn as you Earn.  My other half joined me in October on the side of his job, then soon after lost his job unexpectedly and joined me full time.  Phil,  my other half still runs this business, I had to stop when I fell pregnant.

Why did you start working online? - I started because I wanted to make money and gain independence.  Relationships are hard when you have financial worries and especially 3 children included.  I wanted to bring money to the household and also have an income incase the relationship didn't last.  Thing this is partly because my mum was a single mum and if that was to happen to me I wanted to prepared and not worried about money to pay for things for my children.

Why Did you start this Blog? - Since I stopped helping Phil with our business I have had time to think about what interests me and what I would like to do, accomplish around my soon to be 4 Children.  I decided that I love blogging especially to the female audience, especially mums and they will understand or be interested in my mum type posts or how much I have to juggle my time.  I also am started a new business that is aimed for females as its makeup, and I am looking forward to sharing photos and videos of the products, what better place than my blog.  I decided that this blog will have a mixture of mum posts, mumpreneur posts, makeup posts and my other interests.  I'm looking forward to gaining followers that enjoy my posts too and interacting with them on other social media such as facebook, twitter etc!

I hope you enjoyed finding more about me, hope you enjoy my posts and I will see you on other social media :)
